Cars in German Town Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Police mentioned they were contacted by a man who noticed a automobile in Hanau covered with reddish liquid

Approximately 50 cars have been covered with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Cars, walls and postal boxes were marked, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they stated in a statement.

Police report they were alerted during the night on Wednesday, when a individual noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored fluid.

The substance had been drawn in the form of a banned symbol, they added.

Officers then found many other smeared automobiles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under regulations outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Police say initial examinations suggest the liquid was likely human blood.

"There is still no indication as to where it came from; investigators are currently not cognizant of any injuries in association with the incident," they commented.

Local authorities stated they were trying "to unravel the case" and have asked to the residents for tips.

A senior political figure said the vandalism made him without words and had to be resolved promptly.

"This act hits the core of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the right-wing attack five years ago," he wrote on a platform, recalling the killing of nine individuals by a assailant focusing on people of foreign heritage in February 2020.
